Before you get into your car, send your next destination to your BMW via your smartphone. With Digital Premium, enjoy enhanced navigation with vivid 3D displays, more detailed information and an additional satellite map. The system also recognises your favourite destinations and makes proactive suggestions. Even on minor roads and when navigation isn’t active, you’ll always be aware of the current traffic volume.
What is BMW Connected Navigation?
BMW Connected Navigation offers easy destination entry and dynamic route optimisation. If the traffic situation changes, real-time information will quickly guide you to an alternative route. Additional information, such as reviews and opening times of points of interest, is also available. Plan your trip beforehand and send your destinations directly to your vehicle. The navigation learns your regular destinations and makes custom suggestions.
How do I update my BMW navigation system?
With Operating System 9 or later, the vehicle downloads the necessary map data from the cloud as needed. Map data and features are regularly updated in the background, either directly in the cloud or via system updates. This ensures you always have the latest maps and features in front of you.
How do I use BMW Maps?
To start active route guidance, simply enter your destination or the address in the search field and choose one of the suggested routes. You can access all other BMW Maps features intuitively via the map screen. You can also control it with voice commands.
How does BMW Maps help me charge my electric car?
The route optimised for charging feature plans ideal charging stops along your way. You'll receive information about charging stations such as connection types and number of charging points, and nearby points of interest such as restaurants, to make more efficient use of your time.
