What is Android Auto™?

Android Auto™ connects your smartphone wirelessly to your BMW, allowing you to access your favourite navigation, media and communication apps without distraction while driving. Using Google Assistant, you can conveniently control Android apps by voice, enabling you to concentrate fully on driving.

Which BMW models have Android Auto™?

• Vehicles with BMW Operating System 7 or 8.


• Vehicles with the optional equipment Connected Package Professional (6C3/4). Only available in conjunction with BMW Live Cockpit Plus (6U2) or BMW Live Cockpit Professional (6U3).


• Vehicles with BMW Operating System 7 that feature the required equipment option can receive Android Auto™ via remote software upgrades.

In countries where the Connected Package Professional is not available, Android Auto™ is part of the optional equipment Smartphone Integration (6CP).

The Android Auto™ service has no runtime limitation and is permanently available in your BMW.
