Your BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant is becoming more and more efficient. You can now start functions, like searching for and playing your favourite songs and playlists, with intuitive voice commands. Just say “Hey BMW” or use the button on the multifunction steering wheel.
The Assistant learns your habits. For instance, if you regularly drive into your company’s car park, your side window will open automatically. The new BMW Operating System X lets you create a routine based on different functions that you use regularly. If you wish, Sport mode, air conditioning or massage functions can be combined into a routine and automatically started together.
How do I activate the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant and “Hey BMW”?
To activate the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant in your BMW for the first time, use your BMW ID to log on in the vehicle. Next, press the microphone button on the multifunction steering wheel to launch the Personal Assistant setup wizard, consent to the Privacy Policy and activate the “Hey BMW” password.
What can I get the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant to do using voice control?
The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant provides quick access to functions like navigation, communication, entertainment, and vehicle controls. You can use voice commands to activate seat or steering wheel heating, adjust the interior temperature, or open the windows. Start calls, get directions home, check vehicle status, and much more. Simply say, for example, “Activate my seat heating,” or “I’m cold.” “Call Max Mustermann,” or “Tell me a joke.“ You can also control entertainment functions, like searching for or streaming music.
