What happens when my smartphone needs to be charged?
You can use your smartphone to unlock and start your vehicle even if the device needs to be charged. If your smartphone's battery is very low, it switches to power-saving mode. With the right setting, you can still use it as a key for several hours afterwards.
What happens to the digitally created keys when I sell my vehicle?
Before you sell your vehicle, you should delete it completely from your BMW ID. This will ensure that all digitally created keys are automatically removed the next time you use a classic vehicle key.
Which vehicle functions can be restricted when sharing?
If the function is activated when sharing a key, the following functions are restricted in their entirety: Acceleration is basically reduced and the top speed is limited to approx. 145 km/h.
